As the premier donor recognition program of the University of Illinois, the President's Council recognizes individuals who make significant philanthropic investments in the University totaling $50,000 or more.
Since 1964, over 16,000 members have joined the Council based on cumulative lifetime gifts and commitments (outright, pledged, and deferred) across all three campuses in Urbana-Champaign, Chicago, and Springfield.
The Chancellor's Circle recognition program was introduced in 2006 and reinforces the important role of annual giving to our University's ongoing strength and success.
The Chancellor's Circle encourages leadership-level annual support by honoring donors whose outright gifts total $2,500 or more in a single fiscal year (July 1–June 30). Membership is renewable annually.
Donors are recognized at four giving levels based on household cumulative contributions across all departments, programs, colleges, and campuses. Those levels are:
- Platinum: $25,000 or more
- Gold: $10,000–$24,999
- Silver: $5,000–$9,999
- Bronze: $2,500–$4,999
For membership information, contact the Foundation's department of Donor Relations by phone at 217-300-0056 or by email.
