The increasing speed of technological innovations and knowledge expansion have had a significant impact on the costs incurred by universities, as they race to keep up with information technology infrastructure requirements. A continuing information explosion demands numerous new course offerings, frequent textbook updates and the latest in research resources. With increased demands for funding, student scholarships and assistantships permit the University to respond much more effectively to students’ needs for financial assistance.
