Jacquline N. Schweighart
Jacque Schweighart has been a part of the advancement efforts at the University of Illinois since 2004. She and her team support the effective corporate governance of the Foundation and manage the work of the board of directors, its leadership and committees; develop and manage programs that holistically ensure that University of Illinois donors have a high-quality giving experience; provide strategic guidance and planning for Foundation-related special events and meetings; and foster and facilitate relationships with community and business leaders in the central Illinois region.
Jacque began her career in fundraising as a CASE Reuss Intern, a program that was established and endowed by late UIF director Bob Reuss. She went on to serve as a major gift officer at the University of Missouri-St. Louis before returning to her alma mater to work in annual giving and volunteer management for the University Library. She later joined the Foundation as a regional major gift officer, led central donor relations, and managed principal gifts and university system presidential activities. Jacque was elected corporate secretary in 2014 and serves as staff liaison for the Executive and Membership and Governance Committees and Compensation Subcommittee of the board.
A two degree graduate from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Jacque earned a bachelor’s degree in advertising from the College of Media and a master’s degree in higher education administration from the College of Education.
